The Gray Land
After a run of nights when I can’t sleep until 4AM and get up around 8, last night hit with the old insomnia. Finally stumbled to bed about 7. Jeez.
This no sleeping thing sucks.
On the good side, I finished the revisions on mirror. Now comes proofing etc. The proof copy of smoke should arrive soon. *shifts nervously*
Oh, and I folded a bunch of laundry. But almost passing out on a pile of clean clothes in the middle of a lecture on Crassus and Pompey gives one Extremely Odd Dreams, not even usable for plot bunnies.
Okay. If I have the energy I’m going to dye my hair.
On second thought, that’s probably not such a good idea when I’m this tired. Disaster could result.

Folding laundry isn’t too bad. Tops on my list of dreaded cleaning tasks are dusting and cleaning the bathroom. Who knows why? It’s not like they take a lot of time and are awful to suffer through. I do know I love to vacuum. I guess because it looks like I accomplish more that way.
Okay, hope you got some sleep, because I have a question. In one of your email newsletters I received months ago you mentioned a new series you were writing. I think you said you have finished two books in the series so far, and the main character is a librarian or something like that??? I have searched your site for info on this series, and can’t seem to find any. My apologies if I missed it. What I want to know is when will these books be published and if the main character is like Danny Valentine in personality? I think I am going to have major withdrawl pains when the last Valentine book comes out, so I am trying ease the pain (grin). I have read your Watcher series, and know all your main characters are different. So that’s why I’m asking. I think it will be easier to say goodbye to Danny if the main character of the next series has a little bit of Danny in her (can you tell she is my favorite?). Thanks!

If you color your hair (I have been informed that one dyes a rug, but one colors their hair) then I want pics!

Hey Rachel! Unfortunately I have a fear of cameras pointed at me, so pics may be out of the picture. Ha ha. But I’ll try.
Laura: I’ll approach that in my blog tomorrow, because today’s blog post turned out to be a Doozy.
