Working For The Weekend!

First, the new Watcher book–Mindhealer–is available for preorder at ImaJinn. (It’s also available as an ebook.) If you prefer to wait for Amazon etc., I’ll let you know when that goes live.

I’ve also done my weekly post on writing. It’s at Fangs, Fur, & Fey or The Midnight Hour, depending on which you prefer. This week I’m thinking about sensitivity–both its benefits and its drawbacks.

This week was a busy one. I’m averaging a lot of work per day on the YA, which is good–but it’s not as fast as I want to be going. Life keeps interfering.

Anyway, I’m ready for the weekend. On that note, here are two bits of hilarity from Cracked.com–the Ten Most Insane Crash Diets in History, and the Ten Weirdest Historical Contraceptives. I don’t think they’re particularly safe for work, as I almost fell out of my papasan with hysterical laughter while reading either. *giggle* Enjoy!

    Just a couple of comments.

First, I love your books! My current favorite is “Steelflower” and I can hardly contain my impatience for a sequel…but no pressure. lol

Second comment is just grousing, and I know something you have no control over. I went to Imajinn to order “Mind Healer” via PayPal and was somewhat shocked to see that they wanted to add a $5.00 charge for “shipping and handling”. What shapping? Press a button and email it? I can see some charge, maybe, but that’s almost the price of the book itself. Eeek! I cancelled that sale. I guess I’ll be waiting for it to come out in print or on Fictionwise. I did send them an email about it. I’m sure they were thrilled.

Sorry for the complaining. Really. You’re one of my favorite authors.

Can’t wait for Fictionwise to get Mindhealer glad it’s out. Too bad ImaJinn only sells PDF (the worst format for ebooks IMO) or I’d have bought it today.

  3. Brian Says:

For anyone waiting, Mindhealer is now up at Fictionwise.
